Got the Winter Blues???

It's time for a little warm up!  Come on down to Gilly's next Thursday night, February 9th at 7:30 PM and join the DJO for some HOT Big Band Jazz!!!

We'll have a swingin' good time along with the amazing voice of Steve Shinninger!!! So bring your dancin' shoes!!!

Come can hear the DJO perform some of your favorites charts and we might even throw in a few blues numbers as well. The band will be led by the fabulous John Harner of Stan Kenton fame.

Admission is the crazy Eddie price of only $5!!!

The Dayton Jazz Orchestra (DJO), heralded as the Dayton area's premier jazz ensemble,  presents the exciting sounds of modern and traditional big band music.  The 16 piece jazz orchestra assembled in October 1993 as a music reading ensemble, features some of the best musicians in the Dayton community playing selections from the music libraries of Count Basie, Stan Kenton, Bob Mintzer, Rob McConnell, Duke Ellington and more.  

Guest Artists appearing with the DJO have included Bobby Shew, Phil Woods, Diane Schuur, John Fedchock, Denis DiBlasio, Norris Turney, Eddie Morgan, Everett Greene, Lester Bass, Maria Schneider, Slide Hampton, Bill Holman, Bob Curnow, Les Hooper, Mulgrew Miller, Carl Allen, Cecil McBee, Don Braden, Terell Stafford, and Conrad Herwig.

The DJO presents concerts, and educational clinics throughout the Dayton area.
